Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and while my husband, Marten, and I were living in Hawaii we rescued two 7.5-week-old puppies, Moka and Java, from a shelter on Maui.
Moka and Java quickly found places in my heart – the unconditional love and trust that they shared was a testament to the meaningful relationships that we humans have with our animal companions.
My work often required me to travel, and when I was away from my dogs and missed them terribly. This separation inspired me to create a symbol of the love and connection shared between people and their pets, something that I could carry with me at all times to remind myself of my fur friends even when I couldn’t be with them.

I purchased my first dog paw bracelet while traveling in Canada. I selected the bangle type in blue. I love it! It is comfortable and eye-catching. I received many compliments. I enjoy the warm feeling I have when I look at the piece of art on my wrist. I have added the red & black flat leather dog bracelets to my collection. I also have the matching key ring. These bracelets make exceptional gifts due to the design, quality of the materials, and the ease of wear. A portion of the proceeds go to Rescue organizations, which is a big plus in my book!!

This particular bracelet is the second Hand and Paw Bracelet that I have ordered. I
Iove it as much as the first one I ordered, which was the Active Hand and Paw style. The clasp on this style is wonderful-I really like the magnetic clasp, and it fits very well. I absolutely love the Hand and Paw ‘sculpted’ design. It is very symbolic to me, of the wonderful dogs we have had the joy of having in our lives, past and present. It is such a happy reminder of them, and especially because of the hand grasping the dog’s paw-such a beautiful gesture of love and caring. I have received many compliments on my bracelets!
The bracelet itself , supports so many worthy animal rescues-another reason I love the idea behind the Hand and Paw design.
